Questions Answered
Does TTI pick up cargo directly from Indian ports?
Yes. TTI arranges port pickup from JNPT Mumbai, Mundra, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata immediately after customs clearance Out-of-Charge. Cargo is transported directly to your warehouse, factory or customer address anywhere in India.
What is the difference between FTL and LTL road freight?
FTL — Full Truck Load — means you hire an entire truck for your cargo. Best for shipments above 10 tonnes or time-critical loads. LTL — Less Than Truck Load — means your cargo shares truck space with other cargo. Best for smaller shipments below 10 tonnes where cost efficiency matters more than speed.
Does TTI provide bonded warehousing in India?
Yes. TTI has access to bonded warehouse facilities where cargo can be stored before customs duty payment — useful for importers who want to stagger duty payments or re-export part of a shipment. Non-bonded general warehousing is also available at all major cities.
What documentation does TTI handle for road transport?
TTI handles all road transport documentation — GST e-way bill generation, lorry receipt, delivery challan and signed Proof of Delivery. For inter-state shipments — e-way bill is mandatory and TTI generates this before the truck departs.
Can TTI handle oversized or heavy cargo road transport?
Yes. TTI arranges flatbed trucks, low-bed trailers and crane trucks for oversized and heavy cargo — machinery, industrial equipment, steel structures. ODC — Over Dimensional Cargo — permits are obtained from the relevant state authorities before movement.

ICD Tughlakabad — Delhi: For cargo destined for North India — TTI recommends routing through ICD Tughlakabad, India's largest Inland Container Depot, located in South Delhi. Cargo is customs cleared at the ICD — significantly faster than clearing at a seaport and then transporting inland by road.
